It’s right in the middle of everything, which is a great location. The staff communicate well and provide great service. It is a little pricey, but there’s a good range of healthy food.

The rooftop bar was great, and the service there was really good. The rooms, though, are worn and look old, with what seems like a mildew problem. I think some changes and upgrades could turn the hotel around, but I’m frustrated by how little has been done and the back and forth over email. I was there on a work trip just over a month ago. On July 10, I ordered a well done burger at the restaurant by the pool. Halfway through, I noticed the center was nearly raw. Staff had cooked it on the outdoor grill nearby. A few days later I became ill and kept getting worse. Ten days after the meal I was still very sick, so I went to the ER when I got back to the US. That’s when I found out I had Salmonella and E Coli. It was the only meal I ate outside my work group, and nobody else in the group got sick. After I got out of the hospital and recovered, I contacted the hotel a few weeks ago. They were extremely slow to reply and didn’t help much. I had to email corporate to get their attention. I only wanted to make sure the issue was addressed, since the US embassy recommends this hotel and people getting ill would be a serious concern. They eventually started responding and offered to refund the $39 meal, but nearly two weeks later, I still haven’t received it.

The breakfast buffet had plenty of tasty choices, and the fitness center was especially good. Getting around was easy, with key attractions nearby. Our room was spotless and roomy, with a lovely view, just right for a relaxing break. From arrival onward, the staff were welcoming, professional, and attentive. We felt genuinely valued, and the stay went beyond what we expected. We’ll absolutely come back on our next trip, and I’d recommend it.

The quiet setting and romantic feel made this a lovely couples’ getaway. We had a spacious, clean room with a beautiful city view, and the friendly, professional staff provided excellent service. The amenities and location also made it easy to explore the area. Good value for the quality.
