Our neighbors across the hall got locked out despite having a key. Maintenance suggested entering through their balcony, which felt very sketchy. In our apartment, the third bedroom bed was broken and its ceiling light didn't work, so I moved a lamp from the master bedroom. Maintenance refused to fix the bed, light, or air conditioning. The AC in our ground floor three-bedroom apartment never worked, even after maintenance came seven times on our first day. They eventually offered just one fan. We also asked for a second key for the three of us and were told there wasn't one. I had to kill a giant cockroach in my room. They said we could move to a higher floor for an extra 20,000, then suddenly said they were fully booked, although rooms were still listed on booking.com. And if you need steady WiFi for work or value air conditioning, don't stay here.

I was here for 12 days, and the place exceeded what I expected. The rooms were clean and spacious, and there was a full-time guard, so it felt very secure. Staff were available around the clock.

David is the best host, and the staff are great. Residence MASSOU feels like home when I come to Yaoundé, which is why I've returned for the past five years. It's private despite being close to everything, and I like the spacious rooms, full kitchen, security, and sounds of nature.
