A nice hotel. Prices are on the high side, but the comfort is better.

A nice hotel. Prices are on the high side, but the comfort is better.

There's a nightclub in the basement for relaxing. This cozy four star hotel is in central Yaoundé, close to government offices, state corporations, Yaounde Central Market, Independence Boulevard, and other places to unwind. It suits overnight stays, business meetings, conferences, and reception parties.
It wasn't cheap for somewhere that feels this dated, and the rooms are very tired. The staff were reasonable, though they could be a lot friendlier and more welcoming. Oddly, the cleaners were the ones who appreciated polite conversation most. The stairs only work up to the first floor, and the lifts often mean a wait. Still, the experience was satisfactory.
My stay at DJEUGA PALACE in Yaoundé was excellent. The setting is elegant, the welcome was warm, and the leisure facilities and food were both great.
The breakfast choices didn't feel generous for the price, and the internet connection and speed need improvement. Rooms facing the street near the nightclub are a bad choice if you want quiet, the music gets very loud and sometimes goes on until 05:00 am.
