The room facilities were the one drawback: there was a leak in the bathroom ceiling, though I understand the building is old. The staff were so patient and considerate, and even helped me get a cab on a very rainy day. I’d still recommend the place without hesitation.

The location made this a great base, tucked into a hutong in Beijing’s historic district and close to shops, restaurants, and the subway. I also met friendly travelers from all over. The staff were especially welcoming and went out of their way to make the stay enjoyable. Definitely recommend it.

A cozy, clean little spot in one of Beijing’s old alleyways. The Lama Temple and subway are nearby, and the staff were incredibly kind and accommodating.
