Of the Hanting Hotels I've stayed in, including the ones in Guangzhou and Shanghai, the Beijing one made me feel the most comfortable. It's also really close to Tiananmen Square. I'll pick this one again next time.

The staff were really helpful, and the location worked well, right in the old town and just a few hundred meters from the train station. The main street was close too, and shops at the end of the alley stayed open late. Breakfast was free and simple, with stir-fried noodles, large buns, fried rice, steamed buns, boiled eggs, soy milk, and coffee. The room was a little small but fine, and they provided free water. Everything was great.

The room was clean and inexpensive, and the staff were very polite. There are lots of attractions nearby, which is a real plus.
