Jingxi Chenguang Hotel - Beijing

I was there for 10 days. The dinners were delicious and reasonably priced, and you could eat in private air-conditioned rooms. Breakfast was a different story: it was uncomfortable in the overheated room, there were few Western choices, and the open kitchen doors let in hot air and the noise of staff in the morning. The restaurant and lobby could use air conditioning and closed kitchen doors. The room had a bathtub, but bring your own soap. I got just one thin bar during my stay, and the coffee cups weren't cleaned. Tea and coffee were only provided on the first day. There was no laundry service, and the closest dry cleaner was 2 km away. A room on the 3rd floor is a better bet than the 4th, where you have to carry your luggage up yourself. Each room had its own Wi-Fi and fast internet, though the lobby and other hotel areas, including the restaurant, had a weak connection. English wasn't well known, but the staff all tried to communicate. It's a safe place: my laptop and other belongings stayed in my room for 11 days without anyone taking or disturbing them during room service. It was a good business hotel, but there's no pool or family activities.
