The restaurant is the standout for me. The buffet is solid, but the noodles are especially good, hearty, flavorful, and expertly prepared. They're famous in their own right. Shengli Hotel is a practical, refined place for business travelers, especially people in the petroleum industry. It belongs to an oil company and takes its name from the Shengli oil field, a bit of industrial heritage it wears quietly. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and efficient, without much flash. The Wi-Fi is strong, hot water comes right away, and the minibar is well stocked. There weren't many English signs, and the limited number of English-speaking staff was a small hassle. The focus is on function, with just enough good food to make a business stay feel like more than work.

It's an older hotel, but the rooms are clean and hygienic, the staff are friendly, and the conditions are quite good. The convenient location makes it handy for business trips. I'd stay here again next time I'm in town for work.
