Starway Hotel Beijing Dongsi Branch

The location worked really well. There's a wide choice of cafes nearby that stay open late, plus a good fruit and vegetable stall. The historic hutong area is close, and two metro stations are not far away. The hotel is worn and the rooms are a bit old, but they have everything needed: toothbrushes, toilet paper, a hairdryer, air conditioning, and a kettle. The mattresses are comfortable. For the good price and location, the tired overall condition is manageable. There's no fridge in the rooms, just one shared fridge by the entrance. Service is available around the clock, which is convenient. After the first night, we asked to move because we could smell cigarette smoke, and they moved us. Unfortunately, the new room smelled too, since guests from other rooms went out to smoke on the stairs and the smoke drifted into the shared corridor and rooms.
