The surprise upgrade to a huge suite was a great start to our two-night stay in October 2025, but my wife and I left unimpressed by the cleanliness, location, and price. Much of the room felt like it only looked nice on the surface and hadn't been cleaned thoroughly. Even though the hotel uses the Sanlitun label, it's in an area mostly filled with foreign embassies, and the location disappointed us. Didi pickups take a while because of the one-way roads, and there's no metro stop nearby. The hotel shares a large building with many shops and businesses, and the atmosphere felt odd. We also couldn't tell where the front desk was when we first entered. The restaurant is under renovation, so there was no breakfast at the hotel. Instead, they currently deliver a takeaway breakfast to the room in the morning, mostly Chinese options. Two weeks after checkout, I still hadn't received elite night credit. It seems the staff didn't complete and submit the usual World of Hyatt folio, even though I booked directly through World of Hyatt. As Hyatt Globalists, we were surprised by that. I'm also confused that this is the only Category 2 hotel in the UrCove brand, while the Category 1 UrCove hotels we stayed at in Shanghai and Xi'an were much nicer and better located.
