Hilton Garden Inn Changde Dingcheng

Really clean and comfortable.

We booked through Qingze Travel Agency and had a fairly clean room facing the lake on the 20th floor. The refrigerator didn't seem to work. The tea bags were decent, with both green and black tea, plus a sachet of Nescafé black coffee. Breakfast was average, though I suppose that's about what to expect from an inn.

The view from our bed was lovely at night, and the daytime scenery was even better. I was so taken with it that I couldn't bring myself to leave, and even leaned my phone out the window for photos, risking a fall. I love this hotel 🏨. The buffet needs work, though: food came out too slowly and there wasn't enough, so the queues were long and I couldn't get anything to eat. #ChangdeDingchengFujieHiltonGarden

The room was roomy and the view was great, but breakfast time was miserable. There was no air conditioning, and people smoked on the non-smoking floor. Staff told them to go outside, but they stayed just inside the door with it open, so it still smelled awful. When I brought it up, staff ignored me. My stay was already disappointing because of the meal before checkout, and then someone smoked right at the counter while staff seemed to allow it. Truly awful.
