Zeyun Hotel

The lobby's traditional Chinese design gave the hotel a warm, cultural feel, and the bathroom in our room was clean and well maintained. I stayed at Zeyun Hotel Changde with the Wow Consortium delegation, representing Ayyash Faruq Travel & Tours. We found the room comfortable, with a lovely traditional Chinese look alongside modern technology. The hospitality from the hotel team was excellent, and I'd recommend it to business and leisure travellers.

The high-speed rail station is right across the road, which makes the location great. It's a classic-style hotel and very comfortable.

The antique-looking furniture and distinctive atmosphere make this feel quite different from modern hotels. My first reaction was “Wow”. I loved the design and ambience.

The quiet and lack of crowds were what I liked most. We never had to queue, and breakfast was the best we had on the trip, with tasty local dishes and a pleasant setting. The hotel has an elegant, consistent ancient China theme throughout, and it was the most beautiful place we stayed on our Dynasty Travel Zhangjiajie tour. My room was spacious and comfortable, with plenty of tables and chairs. The curtains worked electronically, and the large bathroom had separate shower and toilet cubicles plus two basins. I loved the powerful rain shower, and the bathtub was a nice place to soak while watching the TV right in front of it. The toilet also had piped-in music. There were tea rooms in the lobby for groups of different sizes, a lovely spot for a private chat with girlfriends over tea. I would have liked bathrobes, though, and despite having a coffee machine, there was no coffee.
