After more than 30 nights at the Kempinski over the past year, it's still my favorite hotel in Changsha so far. The rooms are comfortable and feel welcoming and a bit luxurious after a long day at work. The one annoyance is that the in-room HVAC controls never seem to work, so when it gets warm I open a window. The buffet breakfast is good, and so is the attached German restaurant. The location works well for shopping and food, and getting a taxi or DiDi is easy. There's a Starbucks nearby too, which is a nice bit of home.

The room was great, with nice views. Capital Mall and Walmart are just a 5 minute walk away.
