The spa was a standout, and the wellness facilities made it easy to relax. The food was fresh, healthy and packed with local flavors, with excellent service throughout. We also found the villas spacious and thoughtfully designed, with plenty of privacy and attention to detail. Six Senses Qing Cheng Mountain sits at the foot of Qing Cheng Mountain, surrounded by a peaceful natural setting. The staff were kind and attentive, and seemed to care about making our visit memorable. We had a wonderful stay from beginning to end, with luxury and a real sense of calm. We left feeling refreshed and inspired, already thinking about a return. It would suit a romantic break, a wellness retreat or simply a quiet escape. Highly recommended.

The property is beautiful and peaceful, with an excellent spa and a great location near Qing Cheng Mountain for hikes and day trips. A few menu descriptions could be clearer, but that’s a minor thing after such a spectacular stay. We’ve stayed at Four Seasons, Raffles, Mandarin Oriental and Rosewood properties around the world. This was our first Six Senses, and the service may have been the best we’ve experienced. Every staff member seemed to genuinely care. Loki, our butler, was available and responsive at all hours, making everything easy. Vanilla was warm, knowledgeable and knew when to give us room. The restaurant team handled a dish issue at dinner beautifully without us needing to ask, and by the second day the breakfast team remembered our exact orders. The whole team felt in sync. Whatever they’re doing with hiring and training is working. We’ll be back.

The hotel makes a great base for exploring the area, and I’d definitely recommend it for that. We had a wonderful time. The staff were attentive and very friendly, and the fresh food from the hotel’s own garden was exceptional. The location is superb.

The rooms are spacious and beautifully finished, and the grounds are pleasant to wander around. There’s also a nice gym and swimming pool. The saunas in the locker rooms were less successful: the men’s one was broken, and the women’s didn’t get very hot. Breakfast was excellent, with a generous mix of Western and Chinese options, eggs made to order and a noodle bar. The dan dan mian was fantastic. The onsite sichuan restaurant was good, though a little pricey for China. I enjoyed my stay, but the experience didn’t quite match the price or the Six Senses name. The property is showing its age, and some newer changes take away from the atmosphere, especially the very visible piping added to the outside of many buildings. I’d put it at 3.5/5.

Breakfast was amazing, and our butler Marco was especially attentive and made us feel at home. The Asian restaurant, Zi Qi Yuan, was only decent and extremely pricey, so I wouldn’t recommend it. There are plenty of nearby places with great food for less. Six Senses Qing Cheng mountain is spacious and beautifully set in nature. There’s an onsite kids club, restaurants, farms, tennis courts and a football field. The surrounding area has lots to explore too, including hikes at Qing Cheng Mountain, tours at Doujiangyan and a visit to the Panda Valley. We had an amazing stay and hope to return someday.
