The room was compact, but it was laid out well and had useful features, including smart toilet functions and a full-length mirror. They’d stocked the amenities well, too. From the hotel, it’s an easy walk to popular spots like Xiaotong street, Kuanzhai alley and Paotongshu street. I was very impressed and would book here again on my next trip to Chengdu.

The room’s light controls didn’t work, and even after we complained, the hotel couldn’t fix them. That was a real hassle since the lights were linked to opening and closing the curtains. The bathroom’s glass walls and door that didn’t seal properly also made things inconvenient, even if they saved space. The shower gel was very nice, but room cleaning wasn’t done every day. I wouldn’t return and can’t recommend the place. On our second and last night, the two young women at reception kept pressuring us to give five-star ratings on Google, WeChat, and/or Alipay, whatever we actually thought. They tried to take our phones and do it themselves, pushed us, and yelled. They got uncomfortably persistent. We gave the ratings, and they brought us a headband and keychain as souvenirs. The whole thing was very annoying. They were really pushy.
