Yifeng Harbour Hotel

The breakfast buffet was tasty, and housekeeping cleaned the room thoroughly, so I was comfortable during my stay on the 29th floor. The room was so big it almost felt like too much space for one person. The shower drain couldn't keep up and water gathered quickly, which I can understand. The elevator ride was also a bit rough.

The view from the upper floors reaches the ocean on a clear day. I've tried several hotels near the development zone, and this one gives good value and has the biggest breakfast selection. There are Japanese-style options such as chawanmushi and grilled fish, which suits a longer stay. I think it's the only place in the development zone serving a whole pack of natto at breakfast. Some staff speak Japanese and English, though not all of them do. For a family staying for years, I'd suggest SOMERSET since its rooms are bigger for families. For solo travel the rooms are about the same size, so I'd pick this hotel for its price and food.

Room 512 had the kitchen, dining area, and bedroom all together. At the back was a small closet-like room, then the toilet and bathroom beyond it. The rate was about 330 yuan, though it changes by day. The room felt a little chilly because it was so spacious. Shower temperature and pressure were acceptable, and there was no bidet.

There was plenty to eat at breakfast, and the service was good.
