Foshan Poltton International Serviced Apartment

There’s plenty to do nearby, and we mostly used Didi to get around. Just a short walk away is the foshan ancestral Temple. The hotel connects to a mall and sits right outside the metro at zumiao, exit B. Downstairs are a Starbucks and mostly Chinese restaurants, and they were clean. A couple of streets back, street vendors sell cheap, delicious food and fruit juice. The rooms are spacious and quite nice. The beds are hard, which is common in China. There’s a big TV, but no English channels.

We got upgraded to a better room at no extra cost, which helped make this a five-star stay. The room was clean, the staff were friendly, their English was average, and they gave good information. The spot is great, among good shops and food places, with a couple of malls and convenient transport nearby.

The staff were very friendly, and the place was clean and tidy, right in the city centre. If you get an apartment room with a kitchenette and want to cook, you'll need to buy or hire the equipment.

Great value for money and very handy for shops and the subway. Just be prepared for the cigarette smell in the lobby, though that seems to be everywhere in China.
