Rich Forex Hotel

We had such a strange, stressful, and eventually happy trip. Crossing from Taiwan through Macau, we took a bus from Gongbei to Daliang, Shunde. Somewhere along the way, we lost our passports. Thankfully, we stayed calm and didn’t get into an argument in the rush. My sister in Taiwan contacted Evergreen for us, and we spent ages at the Macau Lost Service Desk and asking the police for help. I could feel how much effort everyone was making. Thank you all. While we were on the bus, I got a call from Macau. We spoke Cantonese and got it sorted out. Thank God! I’d also accidentally dropped the tow bar while reaching into my pocket to pick it up in Taiwan. Amitābha! Otherwise, we might’ve thought I was possessed. L is so careful that he’d never let something like that happen to him. Evergreen Air were great. They said they’d send it to Macau tomorrow, hopefully as soon as possible, so I could take it back. A hundred thumbs up! It took about an hour to an hour and a half to get to Fu Ying. The hotel didn’t look especially new. I was exhausted and hungry, while my second uncle kept talking 🤣. The driver and he seemed like old friends meeting abroad 🤔🙄😅, so there was no chance of sleeping! At reception, they asked for everyone’s passports to check us in and took photos. Everyone was definitely baffled 🐈. It took so long, and I was honestly worried about a terrorist attack 🤔! While we waited, someone nearby blended right in and said, “Get a card!” We all looked up, and he came closer: “Come on! Let’s get a card! You’re a maniac!” 😵 No way. Acting familiar doesn’t make you a real hero. Why not learn from the burger bunny? 😔 After they entered the terrorist attack data, we went upstairs to rest and get ready, but the elevator got stuck. When I stepped out, the modern decor startled me. I was suddenly excited and hurried to my room on the sixth floor. I opened the door and, wow, everything was new, new, new! I hadn’t expected much and thought it’d be an old hotel, but the renovation really surprised me. The room was big and grand, with fruit and snacks, a coat closet, a new air conditioner and TV, internet, a clothes drying rack, and even a safe. Towels were ten dollars. The front desk staff were so friendly when I asked about things. They brought an iron quickly, and the new one was easy to use. The staff member was professional and insisted on setting up the ironing board. I asked him to do it for me, but he grinned and quickly said he only knew how to set out clothes, not iron them! I’m kidding, I’ll do it. Stop messing around 🤣 and learn to be a good wife. Help your husband iron his shirt for tomorrow’s special day. Don’t blame me for disappearing! He’s rushing back to his hometown to burn incense. Fill the iron with water and set the temperature. Usually, the left side is hottest and the right is lowest. Of the top two buttons, the right one is for steam, so be careful and move away. The left one is for when the water isn’t flowing enough. Watch the fabric, too. Don’t use high heat on silk. And don’t spray it with water or you’ll ruin it and have to buy another one 😭. My husband came to meet me at dinner and was so happy I’d ironed his clothes that he gave me a kiss 😘. I grabbed my Jiade Pineapple and Phoenix Pastry and headed to what I think was the fourth floor. As soon as I entered the private room, I met my aunt and other relatives, got to know them, and gave them their gifts. It was my first time trying Shunde’s famous dishes, and they really were delicious. A big thank you to the chef, Uncle Xingshen, for making them so good! Even with my usually poor appetite, I ate so much. My parents kept asking what the dishes were called, and Auntie was sweet enough to translate for them. We all tried speaking Mandarin, but sometimes the accents were too strong or things weren’t clear, so we had to ask others for help 😁. Every dish at that table was delicious from beginning to end, especially the sweet and sour duck. We talked, laughed, and had some wine, then headed back to our rooms early because tomorrow was a big day!

It’s been 28 years, and the hotel still has that grand feel.
