City Note Hotel Beijing Road Pedestrian Guangzhou

The location is great, though several things fell short. The internet worked only about 20% of the time, and even then it was very slow. The toilet and shower are behind tinted glass that you can still see through. The waterfall shower head sprayed unevenly and caused extra splashing. There's just one guest elevator for all floors, so waits can be long. The floor and room smelled damp when I first arrived, but the smell went away after a day. On Amap, the hotel is listed as “CityNote Xinuo Hotel (Guangzhou Beijing Road Dafo Temple Park Front Subway Station Branch)”.

The breakfast had a good selection, and the stay included free supper. The rooms were clean and the location was superb. The service team were excellent, friendly and very helpful. Highly recommend.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this little hotel in the heart of the Yuexiu district. It was kid friendly, and the service was friendly. The amenities were good, including free washing machines and dryers, and the breakfast buffet was scrumptious.

We had comfortable beds and a very central location, with plenty of food, shopping, historical and cultural options nearby. The hotel sits between two train stations served by four lines, and the price was very reasonable, with breakfast included. Still, I found the stay mixed. Noise was the biggest problem. We were on the 5th floor, and furniture was being dragged in the room upstairs until after midnight. Traffic honked, and the doors weren't soundproof. We could hear people slam them, and our door would vibrate, making it hard to sleep. There's one elevator for guests. It was okay, but felt a bit unsafe until I discovered there were two other lifts and escape routes. Service was so-so. The front desk was usually impolite and couldn't help with my questions. They did help me speak to a shop, and I got a clothing item I'd bought, but overall I didn't find the front desk helpful. The toilet setup was one of the worst designs I've seen. There's one door shared by the shower and toilet area, and water drips from it onto the floor, leaving the toilet area wet after a shower. It was a really weird design, and I didn't even want to take a picture.
