Breakfast had a decent range, so finding something I liked each morning was easy. My stay at the DoubleTree Hilton Guangzhou was a great one. The room was roomy, clean, and sensibly arranged, with a comfortable bed and space to unwind after being out in Guangzhou. From the 41st floor, the city looked incredible, especially at night. Service was quick and attentive throughout, which kept check-in and other requests simple. I'd happily stay here again.

The biggest frustration was the bath and shower water pressure. Filling the tub took, no joke, 40 minutes, and the shower barely had any pressure. The gym was good, and there was a nice pool. There are plenty of places to eat downstairs, too. Allen made check-in flawless and was amazing. The rooms have lots of space, though they feel a bit dated.

The location is central, and the rooms were clean and in good condition. Breakfast covered both Western and Eastern foods, and everyone gets a warm cookie at reception. I expected more English-speaking staff from an international brand like Hilton. We stayed four days, and it wasn't until the final day that a receptionist spoke English. My family knows some Chinese, fortunately, but when my dad got sick one day, explaining to staff that we needed to go to a doctor was difficult.

The modern, stylish design made the stay comfortable and convenient. Everything was clean and well kept, and the room's smart controls covered almost all the facilities and were easy to use.

There was a great duo playing in the lobby, and the staff were friendly. The rooms do feel quite dated, but they were clean and housekeeping did an amazing job.
