I stayed in a business room on the 9th floor and paid under $80 a night, which felt like a real bargain. It was clean, modern, well furnished, and seemed brand new, with no smell of smoke. The location is handy in Tianhe district, right beside VT101 mall. The room had motorised curtains, master switches, marble floors, and a Japanese-style toilet with a heated seat. The more premium business rooms are worth the price.

The front desk attendants were my favorite part: friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, just really good people. The manager speaks English too, and as an American visiting China for the first time, I felt welcome as a foreigner. We found the hotel safe for families, and the lift fit our double side-by-side stroller. There’s a PS5 in the lounge and a playroom in the building. The American consulate is nearby, and during our week there I saw no homelessness or crime. Even with the busy streets below, I didn’t hear honking unless the window was open. It’s also very close to the bus stop, metro, and high speed rail station. Breakfast, snacks, and late night dinner cost a small fee, or are included if you book directly. There’s laundry, fresh fruit, and a delivery robot for DoorDash or Uber Eats type orders. On the ground floor we found lots of food and services, including AI hair washing, SIM card purchases, a spa, and bars. 10/10, I’ll stay again.

They upgraded me to a larger room for free. Loved it.

The coffee machine was broken during our two night stay, so I couldn’t give it five stars. Otherwise, From K Hotel has a lively feel, with free drinks and light snacks, and it’s very convenient for Tianhe. The H exit at Tiyu Xilu subway is only a short walk away.

The staff are what make this my favorite place to stay in Guangzhou. They’re so friendly and helpful. The rooms are nice, and the location is great too, near the metro and plenty of restaurants.
