The tours were the highlight: the Rice Fields and Bamboo trip at the Lijang River were beautiful experiences. Just check what’s included, since we thought the amount paid at the hostel covered both transport and rice field admission, but entrance cost extra. That was the only reason I’d give it 4 rather than 5 stars. My girlfriend and I had a fine double room with a private toilet and bath, and the hostel is quite central, near the pagodes. Guilin is a nice place!

We arrived late, but someone was still there to help us book a trip to the rice paddies for the next day. The staff will do what they can to make your stay good, and the price was reasonable. The hostel is close to the beautiful Pagodas, with a rooftop view of the karsts in the distance. Guilin has a really relaxed feel, and the location is great.

Just by the river and not far from the city centre or restaurants, the location worked really well. This is a great budget hostel, with clean, nicely decorated rooms. The helpful staff speak decent English and can arrange extra attractions.

The rooftop is a great spot to relax with a drink. I stayed one night and booked the Longji Rice Terraces trip here. The room and bathroom were clean and nice, and the staff were very friendly. No complaints about this hostel!

This Old Place is a large, two-story building packed with antiques of all kinds and more. There’s so much to see that you should plan to spend some time here, and the prices are great.
