For the price, this is a very worthwhile and welcoming hostel for international travelers. It’s in central Guilin, near a busy highway, so public transport is easy to find. The staff are helpful and speak English very well. Rooms are basic but clean enough, and there’s free Wi-Fi. At the desktop computers by reception, we could access some apps blocked in China, like Facebook. They also offer free luggage storage, local tours, and city maps. The restaurant food was tasty enough, and Muslims can get non-pork dishes. I loved the atmosphere in the lobby, where you can sign your country’s flag.

WADA is always my first hostel choice in Guilin. It’s a cozy place with decent accommodation, indoor games, reasonable prices, and a superb Friday BBQ dinner. Everyone speaks good English, and they look after foreign visitors from airport pickup through the return drop-off. It felt like staying in my dream house, not a hostel I’d paid for.

I started my backpacking trip through China here, and the hostel set a very high bar for places everywhere. The beds are heavenly, with curtains, keyed personal storage, and individual power sockets in the cabinets so you can charge your devices in peace. Make an effort to get to know the Wada girls, their hospitality is top notch. There are plenty of events at the hostel if you’ve finished exploring Guilin. Just a wonderful experience, I can't say enough about the place.

I stayed here during a six-month backpacking trip, and this is one of the best hostels I found. The rooms are clean, beds comfy, common areas great, and staff awesome. Each bed has a light, three outlets, a bed warmer, and a lockbox. There was literally nothing bad about the place. Stay here!

Really nice staff who spoke very good English, and the laundry service was free. It’s near the train station, with a comfortable public area and a restaurant.
