Yangshuo Sudder Street Guesthouse

The dorm beds have soft mattresses, which was a relief since hard ones are the norm in China. Each bunk has its own reading light, shelf, and curtains, and the showers and toilets were clean and sufficient. Staff were friendly and helpful. One receptionist even helped translate my half-baked Chinese at the local clinic. I stayed at the start of Nov ‘25, and the guesthouse made it easy to settle in for several days. There’s a big shared area with a kitchen for simple breakfast prep, though you can’t cook, plus a garden with seats and countryside and mountain views. It’s at the edge of Yangshuo.

The staff were outstanding, so kind and helpful throughout our visit, and everything was organized smoothly. Their itinerary and local tips were spot-on and helped us make the most of our time in Yangshuo. We loved the atmosphere and views, and the location was great. The care and hospitality felt genuine. We’d definitely stay again.

Our room was clean and nice, with a balcony and a great view. The staff speak English, which was very helpful. It’s close enough to town for an easy walk, about 10 minutes. A lovely hostel.

The receptionist, “Stone“, was incredibly helpful and spoke perfect English, which we were so glad about. The rooms were big, the view stunning, and it was very quiet. Great value for money. Thanks for making our trip so good!
