Hilton Guiyang

The executive lounge team were a real highlight. Zora, Danika, and Lucy were warm, attentive, and helpful, and Laurie also left a lovely impression. Her good English and willingness to talk about life in China made the stay feel more personal. The downside was how crowded the lounge became, with Gold members also having access. Children ran and shouted, and it often felt chaotic instead of calm. In my opinion, it needs more staff for the number of guests. Food choices included sushi, which I didn't expect in an inland city, but the quality was average, with mushy rice and too much of it compared with the fish. The hotel is in a newer business district, away from downtown and attractions such as Qianling Mountain Park (Qianling Mountain Park), though Didi rides are easy and affordable. Walmart is about a six-minute walk away, with spas and restaurants nearby. Karina made check-in smooth, upgraded us because of our Diamond status, replied quickly on WeChat, and even helped order medicine for my husband. Our room was comfortable and adequate, if not especially large. The pool was impressive, but the jacuzzi wasn't very hot, and noisy children playing without staff stepping in made it less relaxing. A comfortable stay with some standout service, though the lounge was very busy.
