The price was affordable and the location was excellent. The receptionist was especially helpful, even carrying and pushing our luggage to the ride-hailing pickup spot. Great service from Hangzhou Ren He Hotel.

Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, and we were within walking distance of West Lake, restaurants, and shops. One small hitch: the entrance is a bit hidden, so DiDi drivers may not be able to stop right at the door. The staff also shipped the phone cable I’d left behind all the way to Shanghai within 24 hours, before I’d even returned to Malaysia. That was really thoughtful and impressive.

The hotel sits behind the yellow board rather than on the main road. The room was clean and nice, with automatic curtains, a large TV, and a decent West Lake view. WiFi was strong and fast, and the staff were friendly.

Sunwood Renhe Hotel, Building 2 on Yan-An Road, is in an excellent spot by Hubin Walling Street and the shopping area. The room was nice and clean, though the busy road next to it made things noisy. Staff were nice and helpful.
