We stayed February 15-19, 2026, in the Executive Suite River View King, room 2116, with breakfast and lounge access. The suite was spacious and comfortable, and the river views made mornings feel peaceful. Its location was handy for the Harbin International Ice and Snow Festival. The check-in receptionist was friendly and helpful, and we appreciated the welcome fruit and almonds on the first day. Breakfast had local and international choices, but the food was average and the same dishes appeared every day, which got boring quickly. Housekeeping was also a letdown. The daily cleaning seemed incomplete, tea bags, sugar, cups, and glasses weren’t replenished, and the welcome fruit was left to spoil without being replaced. I’d give the room cleanliness just 3/5, below what I expected for a suite at this price. We enjoyed the suite and its location, and it was a peaceful escape from the city bustle. Still, the housekeeping and breakfast variety need work. It’s convenient for exploring Harbin.

We came for the special Shangrila Igloohome lunch, the Ice Palace Hotpot experience style. The dishes offered a decent selection, with complimentary beer and warming ginger tea. We’re Malaysians, and it was well worth the dining experience!

I spent Chinese New Year here and had a great time. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the hotel upgraded me to a river-view room. I took lots of great pictures, though the window could use more frequent cleaning. Dust and rain had left plenty of marks, so while I could see outside, it took a while to find a clear patch for a photo.

From the moment we walked in, we felt at home. The care from management and staff was meticulous, and the service was impeccable. This was our best and most memorable stay, one we’ll treasure for life. I’d give the service a perfect 10. Thank you for making the experience so special. This fell well short of what I expect from a Shangri-la. The service felt shoddy and insincere, and staff interactions generally lacked warmth, though two housekeepers and one bellboy were exceptions. If you’ve stayed at Shangri-la hotels in more developed cities, lower your expectations drastically and you might be happy.
