The exhibits are well put together, with scientific information presented in an engaging way that works for adults and children. Clear explanations in Chinese and English help make the visit accessible, and the staff are friendly and happy to answer questions. The life-size dinosaur models also make it easier to imagine what life might have been like millions of years ago. I visited Heyuan Dinosaur Museum on 28-5-2026, and it was an unforgettable experience. Known as the “Home of Dinosaurs,” the museum has one of the world's largest collections of fossilized dinosaur eggs. Seeing them up close was awe-inspiring. The building is spacious, clean, and thoughtfully arranged. It sparked plenty of curiosity, and I think it's well worth visiting whether you're into science, bringing kids, or simply curious.

The Meizhou Museum next door is pretty good too. For a prefecture-level city museum, this one has strong exhibits and content, much better than some bigger-city museums. The Zhengzhou Municipal Museum, for example, is completely unwatchable.
