The check-in was quick and hassle free, and the room was clean. It was also extremely small compared with American hotel rooms, and in my view only suitable for one person. My large suitcase took up a lot of space. The mattress was so firm it felt like sleeping on a trampoline, which wasn't what I expected from a four-star hotel. The area around it was old and run down, but had character. The neighborhood market was a sight to see, busy and vibrant. Times Square Mall, Victoria Park, the ferry, restaurants and the metro were all a short walk away.

I arrived feeling doubtful after reading the online reviews, but the hotel won me over. The room was clean and welcoming, and my stay came close to perfect. It's a convenient Hong Kong Island option, with what you need for a comfortable visit. The building is a little dated and the rooms may be small, but that's part of the character of many places in Hong Kong. Anyone unable to adapt to different cultures and urban surroundings might want to rethink traveling.

The room was clean, with good WiFi and air conditioning, and the towels and bed linen were good quality. The location worked really well too, five minutes on foot from the A11 airport bus stop and five minutes from Times Square MTR. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, and the flyover is just below if you need some Villain hitting. I was worried by the reviews but ended up pleasantly surprised. The hotel delivered good value for its price. The rooms are small, sure, but this is Hong Kong, and compact is what you get unless you have deep pockets.

The friendly staff were helpful, and the room was decently clean with the basics, shampoo, conditioner and a small bar of soap. It was fine for a night's rest, though anyone claustrophobic would find the standard room uncomfortable. The hotel sits right in the Wanchai wet market area, which was pretty clean and didn't smell. At night, young office workers stopped at the good little hole-in-the-wall restaurants for dinner on their way home. Shopping on the main drag is within walking distance. I was satisfied with the stay.
