The hotel itself was clean and fairly quiet, and the service was pleasant, though they weren't especially quick to respond. Chungking Mansions has a character of its own, so it may not suit everyone.

The staff were nice, and having free coffee was a plus. But the room was so tiny that bringing a large suitcase would be a problem. The air conditioning barely cooled it, so it felt like a sauna at night, and the mattress was very hard. I also found other people's hair on the towels and sheets. The building felt a little creepy, too. We booked somewhere else for the following day just 30 minutes after arriving. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who cares about comfort.

They were really kind to my three-year-old daughter, and the owners were good people. After some bad stays in the past, I found this place clean and comfortable. The whole building is full of hostels and guesthouses, so it's not easy to pick the right one. I had a bad experience in the same building before, so I understand the concern. Please trust me, and Google too. Thank you so much.
