Most of the staff were great, but one concierge, a visibly plus-sized man, was rude and aggressive. He kept raising his voice at non-Chinese guests. For a relaxing vacation, I’d spend my money elsewhere. We used to stay here when it was called Guandong Hotel, and it seemed okay then. Even with the modernization, it feels like the hotel hasn’t kept up. The room outlets didn’t work, the bedding was uncomfortable, and there was a smell in the room despite a purifier being available. Some other room features didn’t work either. Since it’s in a busy area and the soundproofing is poor, we could hear people outside and on other floors.

Right in central Tsim Sha Tsui, across from McDonald’s. My seventh-floor room was more spacious than I expected and had the essential basics for visitors.

At check-in, I was asked for a 1000 HKD deposit without any advance notice. They said it would be refunded in 7-10 days, but three weeks have passed and I still haven’t received it. The hotel feels like it just wants to rip customers off. The bathroom had no basic amenities at all. There wasn’t even a toothbrush or toothpaste, and when I asked, I was told those were only available for sale.

The mattress was very dirty, with dust along the corners, and there were molds in the bathroom. They didn’t provide head towels either. The stay wasn’t worth what I paid, and I don’t think it should be considered a four-star hotel.

The hotel was clean and modern, but it didn’t work for me as a work guest because there was no table in the room. I had to get a stool and work at the bathroom counter, where the mirror gives off a lot of heat. There was only one door card for two guests going separate ways. The room tablet stayed unresponsive even after half an hour, and I had no door card.
