Butterfly on Waterfront Boutique Hotel Sheung Wan

I stayed six nights over New Year and would definitely come back. I spent weeks looking for a place, and this was a great choice. Restaurants and bars are close by, and getting to Central is easy. There's no restaurant in the hotel, but plenty of places to eat right outside, so I could try somewhere different each day. Fanny deserves a special mention. She was warm, responsive, and professional from before I arrived through my stay, and arranged late checkout that made departure easy. The hotel is a high-rise, and my 28th-floor room had a great city view. It was clean, modern, well kept, compact but good by Hong Kong standards, with a comfortable bed and excellent shower pressure. Reception is open 24 hours, and housekeeping was available anytime. Requests for an iron or extra coffee capsules were handled quickly. There is also a first-floor lounge with free tea, coffee, filtered water, and room to work. The airport bus stop around the corner goes directly there. I'd stay again.

The location is handy, with a tram stop right in front, the MTR about two minutes away on foot, and a 7-11 nearby. The room was cozy and comfortable, though smaller than I expected, but that wasn't a big deal. It suits couples, since the bathroom is see-through. Amenities are provided, but not water, so bring your own. I recommend booking directly on the hotel website for a good price.

The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the room was very clean with a really comfortable bed. The shower pressure was good, and there was nice complimentary soap. The price is reasonable and the place isn't extravagant, but the AC was good too. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in HK. 🙏☺️

The rooms are very small, as expected, but comfortable and quiet enough. Our mattress wasn't great. Still, the hotel was very clean and a welcome, quiet break from the dried seafood smell and grungy streets right outside.
