CM Plus Hotels and Serviced Apartments

Having four separate places to sleep worked really well for our family of two adults and two kids. In Hong Kong, plenty of hotels seem to assume children will share a bed with their parents or with each other, so having space for everyone was much more comfortable and should be standard. The room was roomy for HK and had a little kitchen and fridge, too. The location was handy, near Sheng Wan MTR, shops and restaurants, and the waterfront promenade. Staff were friendly throughout, and everything else was fine. The one drawback was the lack of free cancellation. We didn't need it, but it would have been nice.

The view across the bay from our room was great, and the room had plenty for our stay: a queen bed, sofa bed, safe, kettle, microwave, electric stove and utensils, small fridge, washer, slippers, iron and board. The bathroom came with shampoo and bath soap, and the water pressure and hot water were good. The room was generally clean, though a little dusty at first. Running the air purifier helped. Some parts looked worn and could use renovation, but it wasn't a big issue. Sheung Wan MTR Station is about 300m away, and the HK-Macau ferry terminal is across the road. There are 24-hour convenience stores and a grocery nearby. The area is less crowded, and Central Station is only one stop away for access to other MTR lines. Facilities are limited; I only noticed a small gym. The bed was a bit hard for me, while the pillows were thin and soft. You can ask for extra pillows, depending on availability. The room fits up to four people. Staff were friendly and helpful. The night shift security guard was especially great when we arrived and returned late. He helped with check-in, taxis, other requests and useful information. Give that guy a raise :) The daily cleaning was inconsistent: one day the trash was left, another day the towels weren't changed. I'm sure the staff work hard, but they should follow their checklist more carefully. We got a good deal on the hotel with our flight tickets, and it felt like good value. All in all, a good stay. I'd come back.

The studio works for two people, though it feels a bit crowded with four. Customer service was good, especially Zoe at the front desk, who was thoughtful and helpful!

The view from the North tower is amazing, and everyone we met on staff was really friendly. There's always someone at reception, too. CM+ Hotels and Serviced Apartments is a lovely place to stay in Hong Kong. Just keep in mind, if you count on hotel staff to help you regularly during your stay, this may not be the right fit. You should book online in advance.
