Courtyard by Marriott Hong Kong Sha Tin

I've returned to this hotel several times when visiting Hong Kong from the U S, and the location is excellent. It's a 10-minute walk to the train station, buses stop in front, and there are lots of restaurants nearby. The free shuttle goes to a nearby shopping mall, West Kowloon high-speed rail, and Tsim sha Tsui. Both drivers were safe and helpful. A special thank you to Chan Chung Wa, my room attendant during a two-week stay on the 21st floor. My room was impeccably clean, the amenities were always stocked, and Wah was polite and very friendly. That level of service is why I love this place, and I hope management recognizes her. Breakfast at MoMo was just okay, bland and repetitive every morning. The shower area needs some work. Still, it's a great-value hotel, and I think it's excellent overall.

Jacky Yip Chun Ki made our family feel welcome throughout our stay at Courtyard Hong Kong Sha Tin. He greeted us at check-in, helped with our luggage, explained the facilities, and left us a note about the complimentary shuttle. When we travelled to Macau, he personally accompanied us to the bus station for the ticket sales centre and Mainland China departure area. That thoughtful help really touched us. The hotel has modern facilities, a great location, and an excellent team. We also appreciated the water refill station on our floor, which encourages guests to use fewer plastic bottles. We felt genuinely cared for and at home. Thanks to the whole team, especially Jacky, for making the stay so memorable and heartwarming.

The hotel hardware is on par with the Marriott group's other brands, but the service and experience should hold up to any challenge. This is my most recommended option. The ceiling shower head doubles as a massage, almost like a jacuzzi, and helped ease my fatigue after a full day. I've stayed at W and JWM hotels but haven't come across this kind of shower head there. I also didn't know hotels had a “Call for Service” feature. In the morning, I'd call housekeeping before heading out and look forward to hearing a lively voice on the other end. At night I'd ring to ask for a bathrobe or a knife, and the low, comforting voice on the phone made me feel at home. Invincible.

The room was spacious and clean, and every staff member I dealt with was friendly and professional. There’s a free shuttle to several spots, including the popular Victoria Harbor. Plenty of Chinese restaurants are close by, McDonald is next door, and groceries are just a block away. It also costs much less than other Marriot hotels near the harbor. I was very happy with my stay.
