Hong Kong Gold Coast Hotel

At 2 in the morning we had to argue for 30 minutes to get the Yacht view we’d booked. They tried to charge me extra and put us in a different room, even though there were enough rooms with the better view. We had paid for it, and I doubt they were expecting another booking at that hour. Why be so stingy when rooms were available?

The staff made my stay at Hotel Gold Coast Hong Kong especially memorable. Ms. Jo Chui, Director of Sales, coordinated our conferences and helped everything run smoothly. Mr. Huan prepared the conference room carefully for two days in a row. At Café Lagoon, Ms. Jane, Supervisor, and Ms. Angel, Waitress, were warm and attentive, and Chef Ms. Lan made one of the best omelettes I’ve ever had. Ms. Kristy and Mr. Thomas Yeun at the front desk made check-in and check-out pleasant and easy. I stayed in a spacious, clean, comfortable room facing the marina, with a peaceful view to wake up to. The grounds were lovely too, with open lawns, greenery, and well-kept landscaping that felt like a quiet escape from the city. The hotel’s décor mixes modern style with a welcoming resort feel, from the lobby to the lounges and dining areas. Housekeeping was discreet, but the room was turned down on time and kept spotless. The conference rooms were well equipped, and Café Lagoon had good food and a nice atmosphere. It’s a serene spot along Castle Peak Road with lovely marina views. I thoroughly enjoyed the stay and look forward to coming back.
