I booked one night and arrived very late. They said my credit card, which I use all the time for bookings, wasn't good, and used the fact that I had nowhere else to go to offer me another place for 900, three times the price. Later, I heard they'd also claimed not to accept other people's cards when it suited them.

The staff were very nice, and the place is close to the bus. It was a dorm room that looked like some people lived there permanently, and they'd run out of toilet paper. For the price, though, I was very satisfied. Thank you.

The room was clean and close to the station, mall, and restaurants. The receptionist, who was Filipina, was really sweet and kind. I'll definitely book this room again next time.

This is a cheap, clean, and tidy backpacker's hostel. Bring your own daily necessities, though, since the public bathrooms didn't have toilet paper. Maybe that was just a coincidence. Chongqing Building has many Indians living and working there, along with lots of Indian snack shops on the 1st and 2nd floors. If you're interested, you can try them out.
