Fast Wi-Fi, a 24/7 concierge, a reliable elevator, and convenience stores, malls, plenty of food options and the MTR nearby were the good parts. The room was small even for one person. I've heard that's normal for budget hotels in HK, though I'm not sure. If you just need a place to sleep, it does the job. The bed and pillow were kind of uncomfortable, and the sink and bins were tiny. They don't do housekeeping or change the sheets unless you ask. Put your rubbish outside the door before 4pm if you want it collected.

The bathroom is extremely small, which might be uncomfortable for taller guests, and the compact room has limited amenities. The entrance is small too, so it's easy to walk past the first time. Still, it's a pleasant hotel in a great location, close to major attractions and the train station. Booking was easy, and the staff were accommodating. They can store your luggage if you arrive before check-in. The hallways were clean, and the lovely scent in the lobby made it feel a bit like a wellness center.

The location worked well for getting around, just a few minutes from the MTR and bus stops, with lots of food and shopping nearby. I was traveling alone and felt safe, even when I went out late. For the price and location, it seems like a reasonable budget stay for solo travelers or couples. The room was bright and smelled fresh, though the deep cleaning could be better. The rooms are very compact, as the name suggests. I was on the 8th floor and could open a medium suitcase, but anything bigger would have been a struggle. Get a window room if you don't want to feel claustrophobic. A few practical things: reception is in the basement, and there's a refundable 500 HKD deposit at check-in. I stayed four nights and received only two disposable towels and two disposable cups, so I'd bring my own. There's a TV, hairdryer and electric kettle. They clean only every five days, so shorter stays don't get a mid-stay refresh.

The hotel's location is handy, near lots of restaurants and shops, though many of the nearby places are upscale and can be pricey. We were three adults at Mini Hotel Causeway Bay. The staff were okay, but didn't seem very approachable, perhaps because they were busy. Space was tight enough that we had to take turns opening our luggage. Under-bed storage helped keep bags out of the way. The bathroom, surprisingly, was spacious and comfortable, though a bidet and larger bin would have been useful.

For a short stay in the area, it might be fine if all you need is somewhere to sleep. But our windowless family room felt enclosed and claustrophobic, and the exposed, unfinished-looking ceiling added to the discomfort. The hotel doesn't seem suited to families either, with adult-themed pictures on the walls. The elevator doors close very quickly, which is awkward when you're managing several or large bags. Luggage storage also costs extra, which I hadn't expected. Amenities were basic: disposable towels, shared shampoo and toilet paper, and not much else.
