Motto by Hilton Hong Kong Soho

Dilys made check-in especially good. She was proactive, professional, precise, and friendly, which stood out in the stressful HK atmosphere. The staff at the 38/F Bar were great too. Their “never say no” approach meant they’d offer an alternative instead of simply saying no. It shows the hotel trains its staff well. And the pan-fried cod fish was absolutely delicious! The room was spotless, with decor inspired by HK and lots of attention to detail. I understand the hotel opened in August 2025, so it’s very new and clean. I did notice a few minor defects already, though, and hope they can keep it in good condition. For price, cleanliness, service, and location, I think Motto by Hilton is the best in the Jervois Street, Sheung Wan, and Soho area. It’ll be my first choice when I stay in HK. Thank you!

We spent 10 nights here, and the room was exceptionally well thought out. It was clean, nicely designed, big enough for us and our luggage, and had plenty of places to put things. The staff were friendly, funny, and helpful. The hotel is about a five-minute walk from Sheung Wan MTR Station, close to Man Mo Temple, and Central, PMQ, and Tai Kwun are all easy to reach on foot. The room was fairly soundproof, though hallway noise came through the door quite clearly when there was any. That didn’t happen often. We’ll definitely come back!

The breakfast became boring fairly quickly during a longer stay. There’s no buffet, just four set menus, such as Japanese and Halal, and you can’t really customize or mix the items. The same choices are served every day. For a short visit it’s okay. The rooms are quite small, as is typical for Hong Kong. I’d suggest asking for a high floor to reduce street noise and trying for a Harbor View facing the water and Victoria Bay. Still, it’s a pleasant 4-star hotel, particularly for a short sightseeing trip. It’s very central, close to attractions and transport, and the friendly, welcoming staff made check-in and the stay feel smooth and personal. The gym is decent and modern, though small, and works fine for a quick workout.

The rooms are new, though the walkway can be a bit tight, which I guess is normal for a Hong Kong hotel. Dilys was exceptionally helpful with the luggage, our checkout procedures, and arranging an airport transfer. Kiki and Victor also handled our packages professionally and were a big help. The location is great too, about a five-minute walk from bus and MRT stations. I’d definitely recommend staying here.
