Ramada Grand Tsim Sha Tsui (Former Ramada Hong Kong Grand Tsim Sha Tsui)

The room was on the small side, and it felt a little dated and less clean than I’d hoped. Still, given the price, I can’t complain too much. What really made the stay for me was the location: the metro and bus are just a few minutes away. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and even lend out plugs for free. I absolutely adored them.

For the price, it’s good value, and the staff were friendly and very helpful. Jordan MTR is only about 5 minutes away, which makes the location a real plus. The room itself felt worn and cramped for two, and the lighting was poor at night. There could have been a nice view from the window, but the dirty glass got in the way. The rooms could use a refresh.

The staff were helpful and efficient. They brought us a USB adapter, replaced a burnt-out bulb, and apologized when they came to clean while my boyfriend was still asleep. They were very direct when speaking, without sugar coating or warm smiles, but that’s the Hong Kong approach, I guess. We asked for one bed together, but on the first morning found two beds pushed together under a single large sheet. There was a hard wooden piece between them, which made rolling over or cuddling difficult, though the bed was comfortable enough for sleeping. Dust had built up on the wall cushions and on top of the mini fridge, so anyone with dust allergies might want to avoid it. The shower had good pressure. The shampoo and conditioner weren’t good, and the conditioner was oddly bubbly, though that wasn’t a big deal.

The carpet in the room had a really strong odor. Otherwise, the room was small, as Hong Kong rooms tend to be, but had a good shower, wifi, a fridge, a firm bed, and very little hallway noise. The location is close to everything you’ll need in HKG, and the check-in staff were friendly and spoke good English.
