Our short stay was lovely, and both check-in and checkout were smooth. We're a group of 10 and had booked four rooms, but at arrival we got five rooms, with one provided free. The rooms were clean and had the amenities we needed. I brought my own supplies, but hadn't brought an adapter or converter, thinking it would be like hotels in the US and Canada. The reception guy kindly lent me one without even asking for a credit card hold, though we'd paid weeks before leaving Manila. The lobby is upstairs, one escalator ride up, away from the busy street, and there's a large seating area for guests. For a four-star hotel, it didn't feel crowded or chaotic after Christmas. HKU Station is a one-minute walk away, which made getting around easy. Hope it stays this way.

We come to HK nearly every year, and Hotel Jen is still our regular choice. The area has plenty of shopping, though for higher-end shops or browsing we head to Central or Wan Chai. We like the more relaxed local pace around the hotel. The rooms are nicely appointed, there's a proper dining room, and the MTR station is only 30 seconds away on foot. The staff are very good and helpful, and we enjoy our annual visits.

The location made a big difference for me and my toddler, right by HKU station's B2 exit, which has lift access. Not every MTR exit has a lift. Breakfast had a decent mix of Chinese and Western choices, and my favorites were the calamansi drink and Hainan chicken rice. We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Jen. From the front desk to the restaurant wait staff, everyone was ready with a smile and willing to go the extra mile. The room was a reasonable size for Hong Kong.

We really like this little hotel and would stay again on our next Hongkong trip. The staff are helpful and friendly. Our room was spotless, with plenty of towels, basic toiletries, and a huge window. The bed was firm and smelled clean, and there was a charging cable for both Android and iPhone.

Major renovation noise from 10am to 6pm left us exhausted, especially with the seven-hour time difference. We couldn't rest and had to leave our rooms because the noise was unbelievable. There was nowhere else in the hotel to sit, apart from two benches. Luckily, we'd cancelled our second stay. I don't think this hotel is suitable for guests while such major renovations are going on.
