The location worked well for me, near the MTR and night market, and the rest of my stay was good. At check-in, though, my room wasn’t as clean as I expected. I told the front desk, and management responded right away by arranging another room quickly. That fixed the problem to my satisfaction. The staff handled it professionally and showed real commitment to guest satisfaction. I’d consider staying here again because they recovered from the initial issue so well.

The room was tiny, but still comfortable for us. We liked being a short walk from the night markets and close to the metro. Staff were professional, though they didn’t give us a particularly welcoming feeling. It would be nice to have breakfast, but the hotel said it has no restaurant.

We made the most of our two days in Hong Kong, enjoying the city and its food, but the room at Silka Seaview Hotel was disappointing. The carpet had several stains and looked dirty, the safety vault didn’t work properly, and although the room was small, it was just enough for two. Since we were short on time, I never raised those room problems during our stay. With the hotel under renovation, three stars feels fair to me. The service had some real positives: they didn’t ask for a cash deposit at check-in, helped us at checkout, and let us leave our luggage there afterward. That gave us extra time to explore and shop for souvenirs before going to the airport. I hope they improve the interior and exterior soon, and I’d give the hotel another chance on a future visit.

I stay here often and have sometimes been upgraded. They also kept my glasses safe in the room after I forgot them, which made me very happy. I’ll be back.
