The Emperor Hotel

I’ve stayed here twice, both times before this in 2024. Wan Chai is one of my favorite neighborhoods, quiet and residential feeling. The hotel sits on a street corner and its distinctive exterior makes it easy to spot. My room was good, I slept well, and enjoyed being here 😌

I’ve travelled a lot, and this was the best hotel I’ve stayed in. The rooms were clean, roomy enough, and the air conditioning suited Hong Kong’s climate perfectly. Staff were helpful and went out of their way to make our trip easier, and the rooms were cleaned daily. I’d definitely recommend it to couples visiting Hong Kong 😁.

A pleasant stay and a good budget option in Wan Chai. The free shuttle was really useful, and there are three bus stops within a 500m walk, with Wan Chai MTR about 800m away. Check-in and checkout each took only five minutes. They also agreed to my request for a one-hour late checkout without charging extra. It was quiet throughout, with no disturbance from neighboring rooms. I booked through agoda and stayed in a deluxe room on the 15th floor. It was small but sufficient, and the view was good. The one downside was breakfast: the free breakfast covers only two people, so you pay 78 HKD for a child even if they barely eat, and the buffet choices were nearly the same each day.

The location was good, and the bathroom was a decent size. The room itself was clean, if a little small, and they did a good job cleaning it each day. The fridge didn’t work. USB ports and internet were average. The gym was okay, but had limited equipment, no towels, and no good views.
