The Hari Hong Kong

We stayed for seven nights and found the service consistently friendly, professional, and excellent. The hotel is beautifully designed, with lots of attention to detail. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well equipped, and we liked the fitness studio on the 3rd floor. There are plenty of restaurants, cafés, and bars within an easy walk, which made exploring the area convenient. The lobby food was good, though the presentation and prices didn’t feel justified. Even so, we’d recommend this hotel for its comfort, service, and location.

The Hari’s location worked really well for us. It’s a short walk to the harbour-front and Hennessy Rd., and Central and Causeway Bay are also close by. We stayed five nights earlier this January and plan to return on our next Hong Kong visit. The rooms are generous for a modern HK hotel, quiet even though our kids were in the next room playing music, and our rooms were right by the lift lobby. The thick, solid doors kept out noise from people on the floor. Inside, we liked the glass divider doors between the bedroom and bathroom, the good lighting, and separate A/C zones for the bedroom and bathroom/entry area. The toilet cubicle is on the small side, but the shower may be the best we’ve had in a hotel. The bed was comfortable, the sheets clean and crisp, and the towels were generously sized. Service was friendly and professional, especially from the breakfast team at Luciano's, the dinner staff at Zoku one night, and housekeeping.

I ordered tea well before some other guests, but didn’t get it until after their pots arrived. My caffe latte never came at all, while their coffee was served quickly. My breakfast order was missed twice. I hope it wasn’t racist, but the guests who looked Western got their orders fast and correctly. The server seemed to be doing something other than working.

We spent almost two weeks in the Hari suite, and the service was first class from beginning to end, tailored to us so smoothly. Each day brought a pleasant little surprise. Thank you to the hotel and team for making us feel so welcome. Though it’s right in the city centre, the suite was quiet. It was spacious, clean, and tastefully done, and I liked having a small kitchen sink, which is unusual in a hotel suite. The huge, beautiful terrace is also rare for an HK hotel room, with both sea and city views. Watching the sky grow dark and the lights come on, I felt immersed in Hong Kong’s famous electric vibe. The only drawback was the somewhat limited in-room dining selection for lunch and dinner. It wasn’t a big issue with so many restaurants nearby. We’ll definitely choose this place again when we visit HK.
