The Peninsula Hong Kong Hotel

A timeless Hong Kong icon, The Peninsula Hong Kong made a real impression through its attentive, elegant hospitality. The F&B Manager greeted us personally and thoughtfully put together a list of restaurant recommendations. Lunch and dinner reservations were arranged seamlessly, and every meal was wonderful, memorable, refined, and well suited to our taste. From arrival, the team welcomed us warmly and personally escorted us to our room, making sure everything was in place. The attention to detail and genuine care make this hotel stand out.

We came back to our room last night to find a goodie bag and red envelopes on the beds. The hotel decorations are splendid and tasteful, with an understated luxury. Ada, an associate at The Peninsula, was incredibly kind and made a small adjustment to accommodate our kids. We had come on Sunday to celebrate our 10-year wedding anniversary, after my in-law had agreed to watch the children. Our younger child wasn’t feeling well, though, and they felt we could take better care of our kid, so we brought them along. The hotel also gave us a complimentary anniversary cake, and we had complimentary breakfast through our credit card deal. The service is top notch, and these gestures beat anything we’ve had at other hotels. The shower head drips a little, the only negative I can mention. Considering the hotel is almost 100 years old, that kind of imperfection is understandable. We still have a few days left in our stay, and our son says we’ll definitely come back if we visit Hong Kong again. I’d give The Peninsula Hotel HK six stars overall. Happy guests from room 433.

The harbour-view room is gorgeous. The hotel has a classical luxury feel as soon as you walk in, with fine decorations and beautiful fresh flowers everywhere. I liked seeing the hotel’s 150-year history on the room TV. Silver cutlery and a silver teapot are lovely details that have become rare nowadays.

We had a really comfortable room and amazing service. My wife especially loved the free onsen at the spa, and they set up a free bed for our five-year-old son so he had plenty of space of his own. I’d highly recommend a sea-view room. Watching the harbor lights at night and seeing the view in the morning was wonderful.
