This hotel is right by Huangshan's famous Old Street, but it's looking pretty worn down. My room was roomy but quite bare, and the TV setup was very old. The shower nozzle was broken and needed replacing. I also had to keep resetting the toilet to get it to flush.

Old town is right there, and we could leave our bags somewhere safe for free while we went to the mountains. Siow Hong looked after us the whole time, much appreciated.

You can find some great food, art, and souvenirs on this authentic shopping street in the center of Huangshan/Tunxi.

The old town location was great, and the house itself is traditional with wooden partitions. You can hear through them, though, so there's very little soundproofing. The owner speaks excellent English and took time to help plan trips around the area. Everyone on staff was incredibly dedicated, and we got a lovely, warm welcome.
