Good.

At checkout, they told me a small towel was missing and said the room hadn’t been checked properly. I went back upstairs and found it right under the covers. It’s not about the money, it’s about how the whole thing felt, and I found the experience appalling for a five-star hotel. Housekeeping clearly needs better training. This was only a one-night stay, but the room temperature was centrally controlled when I checked in and it felt a little stuffy. I’d never stayed in a hotel before, and they had to bring in a fan. I was left speechless.

The room had lovely calligraphy and paintings, but the glass fronts were dangerous. The backs were hollow, and the pieces could shatter with even a slight touch. It was frightening, and fortunately the guests reacted quickly and avoided getting cut. They were then asked to pay 50 RMB for compensation, which was ridiculous. I hope this warning helps prevent the same thing happening to another guest.

The facilities were good, but the service was disappointing. I couldn’t adjust the room’s air conditioning, and when I raised it with the front desk, they casually said it was being repaired and couldn’t be used. The next day I asked again and was told it wasn’t broken at all. Is that how a five-star hotel handles service?
