Just As Inn

The rooms are small, as you'd expect in Hong Kong, but they're nicely decorated with paintings and wooden furniture that suit the industrial look. There's an en-suite bathroom, though it's tiny and the floor isn't tiled. For a quick shower it's okay, but you'll really want slippers. We loved our stay and would happily come back. The outside looks a bit dated, but inside, on the 8th floor, the entrance feels cozy and the staff are friendly. You get free postcards, coffee, tea, water, and towels. It's a cozy inn with simple, decent accommodation in the city center, and Tsim Sha station is literally right across the street.

The room was neat and clean, with a nice city view. The receptionist was very helpful.

At £40 a night, the price is hard to beat, and the location is great, just a five-minute walk from the star ferry. Rooms are small but very clean. The shower is fantastic, and the shower, toilet, and sink share one wet room to save space. If you're on a budget and using the place as a base to explore Hong Kong, I highly recommend it.

For the value, I preferred it to other places in Chung King Mansion, even if some may cost a little less. Getting there is straightforward: Just Inn is on Lock Road, beside an easy-to-spot 7-11 convenience store. Take the lift to the 7th level, then check in or buzz your code to enter. i-Square mall is nearby, and the closest train entrance is about 3 minutes away. In TST, there's shopping and food all around. The only drawbacks were some sound coming through the doors and temperamental hot water, which may be down to the old building.
