The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and they replaced our towels and toothbrushes each day. The bathroom was clean too, with a soap dispenser. It was small, with a queen-size bed, bedside table, coat rack, and a shelf holding a kettle and television. The furnishings were a little dated but acceptable, and it had the basics you’d expect. Communication with the owner was fantastic. She sent directions and the codes for the shared floor door and our room door, and everything went smoothly. I’d hesitated after reading negative reviews, but this was a fantastic stay for me, with excellent value and nothing to complain about. If you want a room with a private bathroom just to sleep in at night, come here. You won’t find another place at such a low price in the heart of old Hong Kong 🇭🇰 The guesthouse is on the fourth floor of the Alhambra building on Nathan Road, right on the shopping street in old Hong Kong. The night market, lots of stalls, and traditional eateries are just steps away. The subway is about 150 meters away on the red line through Hong Kong, and the Avenue of Stars, with its Hong Kong skyline view, is about a 30-minute walk. This is an old part of an Asian metropolis, so don’t expect skyscrapers. The buildings are old, some dilapidated, and the area isn’t especially clean, particularly the side streets. You need a spirit of adaptation before commenting, you’re in Asia after all. There are plenty of similar guesthouses around, so avoid this kind of accommodation if you’re too picky. A super stay, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
