I was hesitant after reading the google reviews, but I'm glad I booked here. The location is so convenient, with lots of stores nearby and an MTR right in front of the building. Famous attractions and restaurants in TST are within walking distance too. It was my first time staying in a mixed-gender hostel, but ma’am Lance's warmth made me feel comfortable, almost like I was at home. She was so helpful and kind when I asked where to shop and what places to visit. I'll definitely book here again when I come back, for the convenience and because of her kindness. I'll recommend it to my friends too.
I actually booked L'étoile de Hella Inn, which is on the same floor as this capsule hotel, just in a different area. The room was small but enough, and the water heater and air conditioning both worked well. On my last day, the water inlet for the closet was shut down in the whole building 😅, but it was okay. For me, the best part was the location. It's near the MTR and a bus stop, and close to a masjid and halal food places like Puff bakery, Wu Zhi Jian, and Lady 13 kitchen. Don Don Donki for Japan stuffs, Victoria Harbour, and other places are nearby too.
The capsule design is nice, with a pull-down blind for privacy, USB charging and lighting in each capsule, and lockers for your belongings. The location is good too. My only downside was having to share the single toilet with shower among all the travellers.
Getting around was easy, with subway stations nearby in every direction and the airport bus a five-minute walk away. For a solo trip of a few nights, the hostel is okay. I liked having a little fan and a vanity mirror by the bed. The bathroom needs better upkeep, and the shower curtain should be replaced. The pillow and duvet smelled of sweat, and I wasn't sure whether the sheets had been changed before I checked in.
The train station is only a few minutes away on foot. Inside, though, my room was very small, with nowhere to keep rubbish and stop smells building up. The hot water seemed to last for only about a liter, so taking the hot shower I'm used to was a struggle. The elevator also took a long time to arrive and could fit only four or five people.
