The rooms are bigger than average and the location is good, but the condition is among the worst I’ve seen. The toilet and carpet were mouldy, the carpet was stained, and the bedsheets had marks. The lift was jerky and awful, and there’s no lift from ground level to the first-floor lobby. If you’re travelling with a baby, forget it. Think it over many times before booking, then reconsider after you’ve visited Hong Kong without staying here.

The rooms are basic, with nothing fancy, but they have what you need for a comfortable rest. This isn’t a luxury place, though it can do the job if you just need somewhere decent to sleep. The old elevator still works, but the ride can feel unsettling. What really stood out to me was the location. Shops, restaurants, and public transport are all conveniently close, which makes getting around the city easy. If a simple stay is fine with you and location matters most, it’s a reasonable option.

I killed two cockroaches in the room. Anyone could ride the lift to any floor without a security pass or check, and the walls were thin. They didn’t provide bottled water either. The place feels like a dressed-up two-star hotel trying to pass as three-star. Check out the shower condition too, I took photos when I checked in.

On weeknights it’s quite affordable, and if all you need is a basic, cheap, safe place, you know what you’re getting. The rooms just meet the minimum: clean enough, large enough, equipped enough. This is also the sort of place that rents rooms by the hour. The staff are really friendly and the location is very good. The problem is the hotel itself. There are one or two flights of stairs to reception, so keep that in mind if you’ve got a lot of luggage.
