New Kowloon Hostel

Once we found the right hostel, the staff were VERY nice. They take the trash out daily, but don’t do much else for cleaning. It’s easy to get confused because there are lots of hostels in the building, so check your booking description for the reception floor, look for the floor label such as 12F, and remember which elevator serves your floor. They don’t all go to every floor. For the price, it’s pretty okay: you get a room, a bed, and a bathroom if you book one. The surroundings make it feel like the lower end of the standard. The building seems to be home mostly to people who are less well off, which is fine, but I get the impression the hostel owners are taking advantage of the low rent and good location. Understandable, maybe, but it feels a bit shady.
